Eh, my tribute to 'Mass Effect 3'.
Kind of tired of this pic. As always in such cases, when it's done I start thinking how did I manage to spend that much time on it..

Critique, comments, opinions much appreciated.

Well I think it's brilliant! I love the biotic effects, the fire, and I love the FemShep-in-action idea so much that I'd like to ask if I can upload this picture to a Facebook page I admin called Mass Effect Female Shepard! I'd credit you and link back to your original here in the photo caption?

Anyway you did also ask for critique soooooo... I'll try. Bare in mind I'm no artist myself! There's only *one* think I can think of here that might apply as a criticism and that's the feel of it being so very still. You've got all this action, so many things going on and a horrendous attention to detail but there's something not quite right in that it feels like a painting of a battle scene... it's hard to explain. All I can think of that might be missing is blur. Blurring around the edges where things have been moving - where they were to where they are now if the fraction of a second it took to watch this happen. It's something we take for granted with our eyes because quite often things move too fast for us. But compare this to a still image from a slow-motion capture versus those images you see where the (shutter?) has been let go a long time e.g. water looks blurred and so forth. That's what I'm trying to get at.

It's still an *amazing* picture though and you've been careful with *everything* else I can think of - even her hair. The only thing that can be missing is the factoring in of t he imperfections in human vision that mean that moving objects look a little less clear than you have painted them.

Oh thank you so much! Nice observation.
Now some time has passed and I see thing I'd like to change, but back then I just knew I wasn't satisfied with the result. Whatever I tried it still looked kinda "shattered".

And yep, feel free to post it on Facebook.

By the way, I didn't know Rachel Maddow saved the galaxy! Interesting fact!
